Here is an initiative which must be heartily applauded. The Dynasty exhibition is being held simultaneously at the Musée d’art moderne de la Ville de Paris and at the Palais de Tokyo. It brings together 40 young artists who will each exhibit one piece at each venue.
It is like an echo from the future, an artistic resonance. All the artists were born or work in France and many of their names are unknown, even in the art world. They are under 37, and unless they were brought up on another planet, they all grew up with the TV series Dynasty, alluded to in the exhibition’s title. 5000m² of irony, innovation and originality. No particular trend, no tribute to the past, simply a pure and timeless exhibition. We love it.
