As every year, the major names are on display at Mode City. Starting with Chantal Thomass who will present her spring/summer 2013 collection. The designer drew her inspiration from gazing back into the distant past: that of the Riviera from the 20s to the 50s, years of splendour and luxury. Zesty colours, ruffles, art deco, … And of course, the quintessential of Chantal Thomass hallmark – daring sensuality. Basques, suspenders – woman in all her self-confident glory. It’s a must.
We take off this year for the dream beaches of Tahiti and Hawaii. Fantasy nymphs and naiads, the sweetness of the blazing sun and swimsuits as colourful as exotic bird feathers. Seafolly, meanwhile, opts for another vintage style: the deliberate fantasy of myriad film references. The magic of the Latin world. So caliente.
Having already made its mark on the 2012 season with its Amor collection, Panache returns with Masquerade. Opulent and sophisticated, with always that near-magical blend of colour and shadow. Panache is the perfect curve, a flawless silhouette on the sand or in the intimacy of a bedroom.
Freya unfurls its trendsetting cruise collections. With its Snow Boat Line and figure-hugging panties for the bath and its one piece zipper swimsuit, the Freya Active Swim, through to the new wedding lingerie line (or how to keep a young bridegroom interested until the 80th wedding anniversary!)
