Who’s next?

From June, 30th to July, 3rd, at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Park, a number of large shows devoted to women’s fashion are taking place, including WHO’S NEXT, a celebrated gathering of professional textile designers.

It’s like one enormous dressing room! Clothing, shoes, accessories, jewellery… of every colour, shape and price. There is something for everybody!

With the press pass hanging from my neck, I was surrounded by more buyers and business teams here to hunt for bargains from the latest trends for the year to come, than bloggers like me, who came just to “see”, pushed by their curiosity and desire to immortalize everything that they fell in love with at first sight through the viewfinder of a camera. I was delighted to see that the designers still had countless ideas in their heads.

Objects of beauty, there were many! However, at times, some of the exhibitors did not want their creations immortalized, which was quite understandable…I could have very well been a spy who specializes in “fashion plagiarism”! Who would have known?

Nonetheless, I managed to take a couple of shots, which, if taken in a “general manner”, were authorized. Thank Goodness! I almost thought that the only picture I would be able to show you would be the one of my pass!

Here is a list of the designers that caught my attention, who let me take pictures of their beautiful creations and opted for a lovely demonstration of their products:

In alphabetical order (click on the brand to be taken to their official website): CACAC, ELMA VICTORIA, ESSENTIEL, GÉMY LE PRÊT,JEAN-JACQUES ROGERS, MIEZKO, NAELIE, NOE, PAUL & JOE, PAUL & JOE SISTER, ROBERTO COLLINA, SUTURNO.

A number of creations by students from Ecole Duperré, the High School of Design, Fashion and Creation in Paris were also shown.
