Is it the portrait of a city, Paris? That of an apparition, Fantomas? Or a dream, that of Bettina Rheims and Serge Bramly? It is all that at the same time and much more. It is the mystery that is captured on film and is offered to you at the Photographic Gallery of the BnF.
The renowned photographer, Bettina Rheims, presents her vision of Paris in black and white: untouchable, discreet, hidden between a strange feminine Fantomas figure who appears and disappears at whim, as though photography could only capture it involuntarily. All the photographs are staged by the pen of writer Serge Bramly.
The result is an extraordinary work, of obvious beauty but also invisible mechanisms. THE tremendous encounter of fears, dreams and fantasies giving birth to an unreal exhibition.
